Honor
Luxury fashion brand, Honor launched in 2010 in a highly saturated market, requiring it to stand out in a sea of traditional luxury houses. Exquisitely handcrafted with an American point of view, it aimed to compete with European brands by aspiring to utmost standards of quality in every detail. RoAndCo developed a strong logo as the central brand element and an ever-evolving system around it to keep the brand looking fresh each season. Inspired by idea of finding beauty in everything, we looked to inspiration in both the ordinary and extraordinary, creating a world as unique as Honor's clothing.

Art Direction and Collateral
Honor's SS12 collection was inspired by the Lonely Doll book series from the 1950s. For the campaign photoshoot, we played with the idea of "lonely dolls" living in a grown-up world. We blind-embossed a doll house–like floorplan onto the invitation, and created a gift bag silk-screened with a lace pattern and filled with custom Papabubble candy that spelled out “Honor.” The lookbook featured a blind-embossed lace pattern on the cover and included beautiful images from both the campaign and the runway show.

Honor's Fall ’11 collection was based on the idea of finding beauty in mundane surroundings. Our lookbook contrasted luxurious gold foil and high-gloss spot-varnish with an ordinary kraft-paper sleeve. For the presentation invitation, we foil-stamped a repetitive text pattern onto a double-thick grey card stock, which arrived in a diagonally cut sleeve and slid out to reveal the collection's signature emerald green color. We also stamped large Fine & Raw chocolate bars with the Honor logo as a subtle nod to American childhood nostalgia.

After laying the groundwork with the company’s branding, we were asked to art-direct the presentation and campaign shoot for its debut collection. To build anticipation for the show, we sent VIPs a box containing macaroons and an invitation, lining it with the signature SS11 floral pattern. For the runway show, we designed the set as a series of rooms or vignettes — a bedroom, a party, a golf game — in which the models embodied different elements of the Honor woman’s personality.
